This was a design I had in my little sketchbook I think it was my first. I think because of that it will always be my favorite... a classic if you will?  One day I was way uninspired sitting around thinking of things to do (for I think a stained glass class I was taking... maybe not?) Anyways I went outside and there were these beautiful little yellow leaves on this tree and I took a handful of them and sat down to just do little studies of them and ended up writing out all of this text around them.  I think this is where the idea to do text with all of my images came into play. And the rest is history.
- side note. the leaf and the bird are designs I made up when I used to just print scarves on my own and sell them to whoever in the world would want to by them... silly enough it took a long time before I realized I should print them on t-shirts too(scarves were way cheaper to buy).  The quote on the shirt says, "remember what it is to be weightless before we hit the ground" which to me represents so many things... such as savoring being a child before innocence has left, not taking life for granted before we return to the dirt from which we came, or just attempting to hang on to moments in life where you feel like you could float because of some beautiful thing or person you have encountered.

This is a fun design that Rob made.  He really liked the idea of  an old high school gym logo sort of thing. So he made these amazing drawings of cougars and all sorts of other animals... I think he drew five billion different animals, angles and styles before he settled on this beautiful beast.  We .love. it and hope you do too.   (WITH PINK!!!)

 This is one of my first shirt designs that I decided to do. I had this little sketchbook that I would often write down little jots of poetry and add a sketch to go with what it was i was feeling at that time.  I had grown tired of trying to make things incredibly realistic... (what ever "realistic" actually is.) and out of that i wanted to break things down into shapes and I suppose this drawing happened.  I feel like its a nice playful way to rediscover ordinary things... although its a bit sad to imagine anything just becoming ordinary and mundane especially a bird. Either way- enjoy!

I had fun creating this design. It was just an idea I had been playing with in my head, just a simple design of a stylized girl's face with hair that took over and swam itself around to make fun lines and shapes... I look forward to expanding this drawing or drawings like it... I think of this as a nice little spring board into things more fun and much more complex.
